Have you ever wondered how many stars are in the galaxy?
I have.
Have you ever felt trapped and alone on this tiny planet
floating in the middle of absolutely nowhere?
I have.
Especially in these last few weeks. After the ship sank. Us
few survivors waiting out the days in a perishing life raft.
On nights like these, I like to count the stars. There's
something soothing about a clear sky and millions of white specks littering it.
In my dreams they come to haunt me. Stars going on beyond my reach. Too far
away to even sight with the naked eye.
I fear the unknown.
I fear the infinite.
I fear the stars and all beyond what I can see.
I fear not knowing how to find
home again.
There are 300 billion stars in our galaxy, 42 for each person. That’s my secret piece of infinity.
